Some Gwinnett County eye doctors are starting their new business as a charity.

First Class Eye Care, a practice in Duluth, in partnership with Boy with a Ball, provided free eye exams and glasses to the children the nonprofit serves in the Norcross area, Dr. Adam Young.

“Love Your City exists in every part of a community!” says a post on Boy with a Ball’s Instagram feed. “We are very grateful for their generosity as market leaders who want to make a difference in their city!”

“Love Your City” is an initiative started by Boy with a Ball that attempts to address neighborhood poverty by enabling partners to build relationships with their communities.

Dr. Adam Young is an optometrist at First Class Eye Care, a minority company. Young is from Stone Mountain, Georgia, and graduated from the University of Georgia and the Southern College of Optometry.

His partner is Dr. Christina Phan, of Chantilly, Va., who graduated from the Southern College of Optometry after graduating summa cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University.
